Set the equipment based on blueprints or design directions.
Monitor production to ensure quality during the process, and also clean and perform maintenance on your equipment.

Mechanical Supervisor
Purpose of the role:
To oversee maintenance of heavy mining equipment and machinery at a client’s facility and working closely with a team of other technicians to ensure that all equipment is maintained efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Supervisor will be required to perform the following tasks:
Overseeing the maintenance of heavy mining equipment and machinery at the customers site of operations.
Leading a team of technicians to ensure that all equipment is maintained efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Delegate daily jobs to subordinates.
Reviewing SOPs to ensure that equipment is maintained to the required standards.
Coordinating with logistics and internal parts teams to ensure that all necessary parts and materials are available when needed.
Monitoring and maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
Scheduling and coordinating machinery for routine preventive maintenance.
Ensure daily reports are completed and submitted to the coordinator.
Ensure all queries are quickly and effectively resolved to improve on customer satisfaction.
Conduct coaching and mentoring on team members.
Ensure training needs of subordinates identified and submitted to relevant sections.
Ensure Health and Safety standards, Regulations and Procedures are adhered to at all times.
Participate in safety meetings.
Work hand in hand with the Safety coordinator to ensure all incidents on the Project are reported, remedial measures enforced, and appropriate safety training conducted.
Ensure employees wear correct PPE at all times and ensure they adhere to the policy.
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 Certificate
Minimum of an Advanced Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair
Diploma in Heavy Equipment Repair/Mechanical engineering from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
Minimum experience of 5 years in heavy equipment machinery in a mining environment.
Must have a background in assembly and High Voltage Systems
Knowledge of heavy machinery and equipment maintenance is mandatory.
Valid driver’s license.

Position Overview
King Lewanika Lodge, located in the heart of the Liuwa Plain National Park, is seeking an experienced and skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles, including Toyota Land Cruisers, diesel generators, and various plant machinery such as tractors. This role requires a strong background in mechanical maintenance and the ability to work independently in a remote and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Toyota Land Cruiser diesel vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition for safaris and lodge operations.

Responsibilities for mechanical fitter

- Participate in any CIP (Continuous Improvement) activities, including workshops and discussion groups relating to quality, cost and delivery performance
- Refurbishment of Filling, screw capping & other equipment / system
- Root Cause Analysis any form of failure or quality issues with the machines
- May be required to performance other, but similar maintenance duties as requested by superiors.
Qualifications and competencies required
- Must be holder of a full grade 12 certificate
- Holder of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication & Welding, Maintenance Technology, and or any equivalent qualification.
- Must have traceable work experience of not less than 3 years in a factory setting
- Certification with Engineering Association of Zambia and any other relevant institutions.

Mechanical Engineer Maintenance – Back End (D3) x1 – Permanent
The position reports to the Factory Engineering Manager.
