REPORTS TO: SENIOR ENGINEER PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
JOB PURPOSE
To supervise the implementation of water supply and sanitation infrastructure projects executed through contractors/consultants. To schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To supervise projects internal and contractor executed.
ii. To provide contractual administration and management, monitor and evaluate assigned projects.
iii. To provide on oversight on the implementation of the environmental and social management of projects.
iv. To liaise with key stakeholders in execution of various activities.
v. To develop various reports such as field reports, data sheets, data analysis reports, design briefs, etc.
vi. To develop designs, specifications, working drawings, etc.
vii. To prepare BOQs and work Schedules for various assignments.
viii. To plan and conduct site inspection reports and provide action matrix reports.
ix. To assist in the development of assigned Drawings
x. To perform any other assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. School Certificate
ii. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or its Equivalent.
iii. Three years’ experience
iv. EIZ membership
v. Possession of a valid driver’s license

Engineer Planning and Design x1 (Permanent and Pensionable)
REPORTS TO: SENIOR ENGINEER PROJECT PLANNING AND DESIGN
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Plans and designs Water Supply and Sanitation and other Support infrastructure in line with company’s development plan. Prepare detail drawings for proposed and completed projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Carry out desk reviews, data collection, reconnaissance surveys, market research, ergonomics review on existing infrastructure and engagement of key stakeholders for input into designs. Carry out data analysis for input into designs
ii. Prepare pre-feasibility and feasibility studies in collaboration with other stakeholders and immediate supervisor, develop project concepts and proposals. Designs and prepares final engineering working drawings in accordance with Engineering Standards, agreed targets and principals of universal design for proposed projects and infrastructure development and rehabilitation projects.
iii. Prepares and quantifies detailed chronological lists of project activities and estimates the costs for implementing all in-house construction projects.
iv. Carries out frequent site inspections during project implementation to ensure compliance to design drawings and bill items
v. Amends working drawings to suit as built at completion of all in-house construction projects
vi. Compiles monthly progress reports for all construction projects
vii. Performs any other duties as delegated by superiors.

Engineer (End User computing and data centre)
The End User Computing and Data Centre Engineer is responsible for providing a professional onsite technical support and field engineering service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, this role restores service to clients by managing incidents and seeing them through to an effective resolution. The primary objective of this role is to ensure all requests, process events and resolution incidents result in zero missed Service Level Agreement (SLA) conditions. The role is responsible for managing standard and complex incidents, conducting routine, repetitive tasks whilst using readily available information and following standard practices and procedures.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
– Ensure that the assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested and operational
-Ensure that any software that is part of the solution is installed and configured according to client requirements
-Proactively identify problems and errors as they occur and log such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail
-Liaise with all stakeholders including client IT environments, carriers and NTT colleagues to expediate diagnosis of errors and problems and to identify a resolution
-Investigate first line support calls assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems following knowledge articles
-Respond to and diagnose all alerts, escalate to L3 Field Engineer when unable to resolve within the stipulated time
-Ensure incidents are updated with progress and resolution details in a timely manner using the required platform
-Ensure the efficient and comprehensive resolution of incidents and requests
Apply tools, techniques and processes to track, log, report on and correct configuration items, components and changes
-Investigate problems in systems, processes and services and assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
-Provide first line remote and onsite technical support to clients
-Provide first line field engineering services to clients
-Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary
-Follow the required handover procedures for shift changes to ensure service continuity
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
-Some or basic product knowledge integrated with technology understanding
Basic understanding of the vendor’s products, business and technology positioning
-Good communication skills both verbal and written
-The ability to establish and create client relationships
-Continuously maintain knowledge of trends and development in technology domains
Minimum Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology (IT) or Computing or related field
-Professional level certification in different Data Centre technologies such as Cisco, NetApp, EMC- Ex: CCNA (DC) etc.
-Professional level certification in Microsoft Technologies.
-Associate level certification in Cloud Technologies such as Azure, AWS, etc.
Required Experience:
At least three (3) years’ experience in building, deploying and supporting data centre networking infrastructure with a reputable ICT service delivery company.
Proven experience in datacenter technologies and infrastructure.
Proven experience in cloud technologies and infrastructure.
Proven experience in Microsoft licensing and solutions.

Engineering Planner
Management of Designated Maintenance Management System
-Oversees the company’s designated maintenance management system, ensuring that all maintenance data is consistently and accurately recorded.
-Assesses maintenance data to optimize and refine maintenance practices, covering farm assets, preventive maintenance schedules, work order requests, and spares inventory.
-Develops detailed work plans for repairs, including equipment downtime, required man-hours, and real-time updates to the asset register and inventory records.
Preventative Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
-Creates and manages comprehensive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment.
-Receives and process work orders, ensuring proper scheduling.
-Creates detailed job plans, outlining all work sequences, required equipment downtime, and man-hours needed.
-Compiles a comprehensive parts list with reference numbers and precise locations for each work order.
-Confirms that all necessary parts are in stock prior to scheduling jobs.
-Estimates the costs of parts and supplies for each work order.
-Ensures effective management of project scope changes and deliverables.
-Establishes housekeeping procedures and standards to be followed during maintenance and repair work.
-Monitors and tracks the progress of tasks assigned to the department to ensure timely completion
Operational and Inventory Support
-Contributes to the development of operational plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment and systems.
-Raises requisitions for non-stock spare parts and materials, ensuring timely processing and installation through internal systems.
-Oversees the tracking of orders and parts to maintain inventory accuracy and availability.
-Provides technical advice and specifications to support the procurement process effectively.
-Focuses on cost control and reduction initiatives to optimize departmental budgets and resources.
The Engineering Planner must meet the following qualifications and have relevant work experience:
Qualifications:
A degree in Engineering.
Active membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
Work Experience:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in engineering maintenance planning, scheduling, and asset tracking.
Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of engineering equipment.
Previous experience in the FMCG industry will be an added advantage.
