The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is a body corporate established under the repealed Securities Act, Cap. 354 of the Laws of Zambia and whose existence is continued under the new Securities Act, No. 41 of 2016. SEC has the objective of inter alia regulating and developing the Zambian Capital Markets and is responsible for the supervision and development of the Capital Markets in Zambia as well as the licensing of financial intermediaries, collective investment schemes and securities exchanges, the registration of securities to be issued such as debt and equity instruments, and the authorization of transactions in entities registered with SEC.
SEC now seeks to recruit a qualified Zambian to fill the following position:
1.0 Procurement Intern (x 1)
As a Procurement Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the field of procurement and supply chain management. You will assist the procurement unit in various tasks aimed at acquiring goods and services necessary for the commission’s operations. This internship offers an opportunity to learn about sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, negotiation techniques.
Responsibilities:
Assist in Sourcing: Help identify potential suppliers through market research and analysis. Assist in obtaining quotes and proposals from vendors and uploading tenders through the e-GP platform.
Supplier Communication: Liaise with suppliers regarding product inquiries, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules. Maintain positive relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
Purchase Order Processing: Assist in the creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders. Ensure accuracy and completeness of order information.
Inventory Management: Support inventory control efforts by monitoring stock levels, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment.
Contract Management: Assist in reviewing and managing contracts with suppliers. Ensure compliance with terms and conditions, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the procurement unit, including filing, organizing documents, and maintaining procurement records.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate, five O levels at university entry level.
Must have a Degree in Purchasing and Supply or Equivalent
Applicants should have graduated not more than three (3) years ago.
Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchase and Supply
Required skills and attributes:
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong Knowledge of the procurement Act and circulars
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly word and Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
Eagerness to learn and take initiative.

About the role:
The Stock Management Associate will be responsible for inventory management and last-mile distribution. We are therefore looking for someone to join our operations team
What you would be expected to do:
Area Warehouse Inventory Management

Job Summary:
We seek 5 experienced Stock Take Supervisors to lead our temporary stock take project teams. Successful candidates will oversee counting officers and data capturing clerks.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise counting officers and data capturing clerks
– Ensure project timelines and accuracy
– Resolve discrepancies and issues
– Collaborate with project management
– Provide team guidance and support
Requirements:
– Diploma/Degree in Stores Management, Accounting, or Purchasing and Supply
– 2-3 years of experience in inventory management or related field
– Leadership and team management skills
– Effective communication and problem-solving skills

Stock Controller and Human Resource Officer
Position 1: Stock Controller
Reports to: Manager Finance/ Accountant
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Job Summary:
Ziba Consulting Limited is recruiting a skilled and experienced Stock Controller on behalf of our client, a leading company in the food and beverage sector. The successful candidate will be hired by Ziba Consulting Limited but embedded into the client’s operational structures for the duration of the contract. The Stock Controller will ensure that stock levels meet business needs by monitoring purchases, pricing reports, shipments, and internal transfers, while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the client’s stock management strategy to control costs, generate savings, and optimize stock holding.
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory and stock management systems.
- Conduct regular stock control procedures and spot checks to maintain optimal levels and minimize wastage.
- Monitor, record, and manage stock movements, including receipting, requisitioning, and internal transfers.
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
- Evaluate supplier offers and negotiate profitable deals.
- Track shipments, address delays, and oversee the storage of products, including fragile and perishable items.
- Prepare and submit weekly stock and expense reports to the Finance Manager.
- Regularly audit inventory and address anomalies to maintain accuracy and reduce losses.
- Maintain updated inventory records, including daily shipments, invoices, and pricing.
Core Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, or similar role with at least 3 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of supply chain procedures and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and audit processes.
- Excellent organizational skills, communication, and negotiation abilities.

The successful candidate will be hired by Ziba Consulting Limited but embedded into the client’s operational structures for the duration of the contract. They will oversee all aspects of human resource practices and processes to support business needs, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s overall business strategy.
