JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER – INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
JOB LOCATION: LUSAKA
Company Overview: Afriseed is one of the leading agricultural seed companies committed to providing high-quality seeds and innovative solutions to farmers. As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead our infrastructure development projects. The position will be for a period of 24 months at most.
Job summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure development projects for Afriseed’s agricultural operations. This role requires strong project management skills, an understanding of agricultural infrastructure, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Project planning and execution, stakeholder engagement, budget and resource management, risk management, infrastructure design and engineering, construction oversight, quality assurance, documentation and reporting and community engagement
Minimum qualifications, experience, skills and personal attributes:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree will be an added advantage
Minimum five (5) of relevant post graduate experience in construction project management and execution
Proven experience as a Project Manager in infrastructure development, preferably in the agriculture sector
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and resolve challenges proactively
High integrity and honesty person
