Mining Excavator Operator x2

Role Overview:

A Mining Excavator Operator is responsible for operating CAT 330, bigger excavators and heavy mining equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate CAT 330 and bigger excavators
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality
• Follow mining plans and instructions from supervisors and engineers
• Monitor and control equipment performance, making adjustments as needed
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, production, and maintenance
• Collaborate with other mining personnel to achieve production targets
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment as needed

• Strong understanding of mining operations and safety protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• Physical ability to work in a demanding environment

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Excavator Operating
• Minimum 5 (Five) years’ mining experience
• Experience driving/operating CAT 330 Excavator is a Must
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Valid Silicosis Certificate
