Sales Representative

JOB VACANCY

A Material Science Engineering manufacturing company seeks to hire an efficient, well-organized, self-motivated, dynamic, and multi-skilled individual to join our organization in the position listed below. The selected incumbent will be based at our Lusaka Factory Office.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a dependable market for the product range.
• Assisting with corporate marketing strategies and expanding the company to new markets
  Cultivate new leads within the sales territory.
• Establishing and maintaining positive business relationships with clients by meeting with them regularly to profile their needs and requirements, understand their business and deliver value-adding solutions.
• Monitoring competitors’ sales activities.
• Manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
• Achieve sales targets and report on sales performance regularly.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Collaborate with internal departments and team members to develop and execute sales strategies that are in alignment with company goals and objectives.
•  Ensure all orders have been delivered on time to clients.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and policies.
• Attend to customers and provide product knowledge and recommendations tailored to their requirements.
• Maintain and update physical customer database.
• Support the Finance Department through follow up of payments from debtors.
• Generate and maintain daily sales register.
•   Cold calling to new and prospective clients.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

 

Qualifications/ Competencies

• A Degree in Sales and Marketing.
• Previous experience in marketing of paints, plastics, sealants, adhesives, and coatings will be an added advantage.
• Have a minimum of 2 years proven working experience in a related position.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Clean drivers’ license.
• Grade 12 Certificate.
