THE ROLE

The Proposals and Tenders Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of developing high-quality proposals and tender submissions that align with the company’s business objectives. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft winning bids. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of leadership assessments, HR analytics, and the competitive landscape in the human capital development sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Proposal and Tender Development:

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of proposals and tenders, from identifying opportunities to submission.
  • Analyze tender requirements, gather necessary information, and ensure submissions are compliant and tailored to client needs.
  • Create persuasive, clear, and concise content for proposals, bids, and presentations.

Opportunity Identification and Analysis:

  • Research and monitor tender portals, government opportunities, and private-sector RFPs to identify relevant opportunities.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of opportunities and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to strengthen proposal positioning.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, and technical experts, to gather input for proposals.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as partners or subcontractors, to develop joint bids where applicable.
  • Ensure alignment between proposal strategy and the organization’s business goals.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all proposals and tender submissions comply with client requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain a repository of templates, case studies, and best practices to streamline future submissions.
  • Review and edit proposals for accuracy, consistency, and impact.

Project Management and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain a tender submission calendar to track deadlines and deliverables.
  • Monitor proposal outcomes, gather feedback, and prepare reports on win rates and areas for improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in proposal management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in proposal and tender management, preferably in the HR, consultancy, or human capital development sectors.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with a track record of creating compelling content.
  • Knowledge of leadership assessments, HR analytics, and talent development frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in proposal management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail.
