Electrical Foreman x1

PURPOSE
This exciting opportunity exists in Fraser Alexander Zambia to ensure that electrical planning, installation, maintenance, and repairs/replacement of all electrical equipment (HT and LT) are carried out safely and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance

• Implement maintenance schedules.
• Plan, supervise, and perform all phases of installation.
• Maintain distribution boxes and low voltage electrical lines.
• Maintain and repair all electrical equipment.
• Conduct plant inspections on all key electrical equipment.
• Identify and prioritize equipment in need of maintenance/repairs.
• Plan downtime for repairs/maintenance.
• Conduct risk assessment and study procedures.
• Perform repairs and maintenance.
• Meet with engineers and foremen to ensure electrical needs are met.

Technical Responsibility

• Maintenance planning and assist co-workers.
• Provide specialized maintenance on pump motors and electrical lines.
• Conduct legal inspections and logbooks.
• Perform fault finding on electrical systems, instrumentation, and cable installations.

Health and Safety

• Always act safely.
• Adhere to FA and client policies and procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Attend pre-shift meetings.
• Wear PPE at all times.

Administration

• Maintain a filing system for job cards.
• Prepare standby lists.
• Compile weekly artisan utilization reports.
• Prepare reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Control costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum requirement: Advanced certificate or Diploma in Electrical.
• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Valid EIZ Membership.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years experience in electrical installation and wiring.
• Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role.
